One of the easiest things you can do to brighten up your living space it to add floral centerpieces! They can go in the dining room, living room, office area, guest room, bathroom, on end tables…you name it! If you are on a budget, like many of us, you can’t afford to get fresh floral arrangements every week. Don’t fret, I have you covered! A great, budget friendly way to create a fresh looking floral arrangement is this:
1.) Use a vase you already own or pick up one at your local dollar store or discount store.
TIP – Make sure it’s one you like to look at and would look good with your home decor.
2.) Grab 3-4 bunches of flowers from the dollar store ($1 ea.), Michaels Craft Store or your local discount store.
TIP – Again, pick colors that match what you are trying to accomplish with your decorating schematic. Also, the number of floral bunches will determine the fullness of your arrangement, get as many or few as you like!)
3) Add the flowers to your vase, play round with the arrangement by interlocking the different flowers with one another and viola!
TIP – Depending on the size of your vase you may want to cut or fold the stems so the arrangement fits well
4) No need to sacrifice that refreshing floral aroma with fake flowers!
a) Spray your arrangement with any scented spray you have at home.
b) Fill vase with a scented potpourri. There are many scents ranging from rose, apple, cinnamon, berry and much more.
c) You can also pour the accompanying oil scent over the potpourri for a stronger/longer scent.
Take a look at the arrangement I made below. I’ve had it for several years now and still LOVE looking at it everyday!
For my arrangement I grabbed four bunches of flowers from the 99 cent store (1 bunch of White flowers, 1 bunch of magenta flowers and 2 bunches of purple flowers). My vase was form the clearance section at Marshalls for .99 cents! Voila! Here is my DIY Floral Centerpiece for under $5.
By the time you are done you can make multiple arrangements for every room in your home without breaking the bank!
